On Tuesday, the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided 13 locations of Nune Sridhar, Executive Engineer, Irrigation Department of Telangana. During this time illegal assets worth crores have been seized. On Wednesday, ACB gave information about the case.
ACB officials said that the properties found with Sridhar are many times more than the known sources of their income. He has 19 prime residential plots, a villa, 3 buildings and several flats in Hyderabad. Apart from this, there is also a large amount of cash, gold and bank balance.
According to ACB, Sridhar married his son in Thailand, in which several crores of rupees were spent. Sridhar’s name is related to Kaleshwaram Project, the world’s largest multi-stage lift irrigation project. There are allegations of corruption in this project. At present, a case of corruption was also registered against Sridhar.
Connection from engineer’s irrigation project will be investigated ACB officials said- A case of disproportionate assets has been registered against Sridhar. Information about all financial documents, property papers and transactions is being investigated. From this, it will be ascertained that these properties do not have a connection with the irrigation project.

Engineers have also been associated with Kaleshwaram project According to reports, the name of Engineer Sridhar is also associated with Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project. This project is considered the world’s largest multi-stage lift irrigation scheme. This project has already been accused of corruption.
Former Chief Minister K.K. Chandrashekhar Rao and his party Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) are already under investigation by the PC Ghosh Commission regarding this project.
In the Kaleshwaram project, allegations of corruption were made a big issue in the 2023 assembly elections. However, the BRS party had denied all the allegations, claiming that the project was made in the interest of the people of Telangana.
