London: Sports Tribunal has imposed a four -year ban on British tennis player Tara Moore in a doping case.

The Sports Tribunal agreed with the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) that they should be suspended for consuming drugs that increase performance.

Moore was found positive in April 2022 for intake of Annabolic steroids Boldenone and Nandrolone, but was approved to play in December 2023, when an independent tribunal decided that this happened due to eating contaminated meat while participating in a competition in Colombia.

The ITIA appealed against that decision in the Sports Tribunal. Sports Tribunal decided in favor of ITIA, stating that most of the members of her panel believed that Moore could not prove that her sample was found positive due to the consumption of contaminated meat. Moore, 32, is currently ranked 864th in the singles rankings and 187 in doubles.
