Supreme Court Stop Center IAF from Releasing Woman Officer From Service | Order not to remove the woman IAF officer from the job: Supreme Court said- stay till next hearing; Case of not paying permanent commission

The Supreme Court on Monday directed the Center and the Air Force not to remove the female officer who was refused to pay a permanent commission. The bench of Justice Ujjal Bhuiyan and Justice Manmohan cited the order of 22 May.

The bench said- On the petition of Wing Commander Niketa Pandey, similar instructions were given to the Center and the Air Force and said that the same instructions will be applicable in the case of Wing Commander Kavita Bhati.

The court said that wing commander Kavita Bhati should not be freed from service and permission to continue the service until the next hearing in the regular bench.

Short Service Commission Officer Bhati claimed in his petition that he was forbidden to incorrectly pay a permanent commission. The next hearing of the case will be on 6 August.

Case of officer involved in Operation Sindoor also in Supreme Court

The Supreme Court decided the hearing before the regular bench on 6 August, when the cases related to the Air Force would be heard. The Supreme Court on 22 May stopped the Center and the Indian Air Force from releasing Pandey, which was part of Operation Balakot and Operation Sindoor, but refused to pay a permanent commission. Pandey claimed discrimination in giving permanent commission.
