The Supreme Court on Thursday expressed displeasure at the Allahabad High Court postponed the bail plea of a person 27 times. The case is related to the fraud case, which is being investigated by CBI.
The Supreme Court considered it a violation of the right to personal freedom and granted bail to the accused Lakshya Tanwar.
Chief Justice of India (CJI) B.R. The bench of Gawai and Justice AG Christ said;-

When there is a question of freedom of a person and he has been in jail for four years, the court should not hang the petition.
Indeed, the target has a case registered under several sections of the IPC, including fraud, forgery and criminal conspiracy. In addition, sections 13 (1) (d) and 13 (2) of anti -corruption law are also imposed on them.

Accused target has been in jail for almost 4 years
Petitioner Lakshya Tanwar counsel Raja Chaudhary told the Supreme Court that his clients have been in jail for three years, eight months and 24 days. Not only this, the Allahabad High Court was also to be heard on this day (22 May).
On March 20, Allahabad High Court postponed the hearing
The Allahabad High Court had postponed the hearing on his bail plea on March 20 and directed the trial court to complete the trial proceedings as soon as possible, then the bail plea would be considered again.
The High Court had taken a tough stand, citing 33 cases already registered against the accused. At the same time, the CBI was instructed that the testimony of the complainant Sanjay Kumar Yadav should be made on the same day and his cross -examination should also be completed so that there is no delay.
CBI opposed bail plea Additional Solicitor General Raja Thackeray opposed bail on behalf of CBI. He said that the accused is accused in 33 cases. On this, advocate Raja Chaudhary replied that 27 of these cases were registered after arrest and they have also got bail.
When the court asked how many witnesses have been testified so far, Chaudhary said that out of a total of 365 witnesses, only 3 have been testimony.
