Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of the country, ordered the 1951 model antique hand-maid classic Rolls Royce car for the then Queen of Baroda. This car is the only piece of that model. The current price of which is more than Rs 2.5 crore, but a dispute raised from this car reached the Supreme Court.
On Thursday, the petition of a couple belonging to the royal family was heard, which was placed in the bench of Justice Suryakant and N. Kotishwar Singh. Where Advocate R Basant, appointed to mediate, said that the couple’s attempt to resolve the matter could not work.
On this, the bench reprimanded both of them and said that they should not behave like a king-emperor. It has been more than 75 years since democracy was established in the country. The court said that if there is no agreement through mediation, it will not hesitate to give rigorous orders in three.
In fact, the woman living in Gwalior says that she is from the family of a person who was administered in the Navy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who was declared the ruler of the Konkan region. Her husband is also in the army, but the husband and her family demanded dowry after marriage. Against which she reached court.

Allegations- In-laws asked for Rolls Royce Car and flat in Mumbai
The couple, who reached the Supreme Court, were married on 20 April 2018 in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. The woman who filed the petition claims that her husband runs an educational institution in Madhya Pradesh. Husband and her family harassed the woman by demanding dowry of Rolls Royce car and a flat in Mumbai.
However, the husband has denied the charge. He says that both of them did not live together like a husband and wife for a single day. Their marriage was only symbolic.
The husband had filed a case against the wife and his family for deception of marriage certificate. But it was rejected by the High Court in December 2023.
The woman said in the petition that “When the demands of the in -laws were not met, they started refusing to marry. False and trivial allegations against the woman. Her character was also violated.
On 22 April, the couple’s attempt to mediate in the couple was told to the court. The last chance has been sought from the bench to find the possibility of a solution. The next hearing of the case will be next week.
