A large quantity of ammunition has been found from the house of suspended ASI Saroj Singh in Samastipur. On Friday morning, the STF team and the district police team arrived to raid the house of Saroj Singh.

On seeing the police team, firing was started by Saroj. Then counter -firing was also done by STF.
About 500 rounds of live cartridges and weapons have been recovered from the house during the raid. The case is of Sultanpur Ganga Diara of Mohiuddin Nagar police station area.
Police sources said, the search operation is still going on. There is talk of AK-47, AK-56, Donali gun, 3 indigenous pistols, but it has not been confirmed yet.
Four people have been detained by the police. Apart from STF, police of Patori, Mohanpur, Mohiuddin Nagar and Vidyapati Nagar police stations are present on the spot.

According to the information received, Saroj Singh’s supporters fired during the raid. In response, firing was also done by STF. There have been several rounds of firing from both sides.
In the raid, the STF team along with Patori DSP BK Meritori and Bihar Police personnel are present on the spot.
Suspended a year ago
Saroj Singh was suspended 1 year ago. He was accused of illegally getting jobs in the army, nexus with criminals and smuggling illegal weapons.

Saroj Singh is ASI in Bihar Police, currently suspended. It is said that Saroj Singh has an image with a domineering police officer in his area.
Senior officers of Bihar Police Department had received information about Saroj Singh’s wrongdoings, after which he was already suspended.
