New Delhi. Today, big news has come for the Internet users of India. Alan Musk’s company Starlink has been licensed from the Government of India and now its super-fast internet service can start soon. Starlink is already available in more than 100 countries and promises to bring high-speed internet in places where normal internet does not work well. Overall, you should understand that now it is like saying goodbye to the lack of internet for those areas, where the internet service is either sovereign or not.

Starlink is now one of the only three companies receiving this important telecom license in India (the other two are OneWeb and Reliance Jio). The company has already received a letter of intent (LOI) from the telecom department of the government. This can be understood as an initial green signal.

Now, they are waiting for a special license called Global Mobile Personal Communications by Satellite (GMPCS) license. This is the main license they need to install and use their satellite internet equipment in India.

Starlink speed:
Starlink users usually see download speed of 25 to 220 Mbps, with most users enjoy speed of over 100 Mbps.

Starlink price in India:
According to The Economic Times, Starlink is set to launch with a highly competitive initial campaigner proposal in India: unlimited data plan that is priced less than $ 10 per month (about Rs 857). This strategic, entry-level pricing is expected to provide a powerful edge to SpaceX’s service to gain an initial market share, so that it can be ahead of the upcoming rivals such as YouTelsat Vanaweb (supported by Bharti Group), partnerships and globs with SES of Reliance Jio, which is all preparing for their high-speed satellite internet services.
