Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia announced that Starlink has been licensed as the third satellite internet provider. There will be spectrum allocation after the license, which will start satellite telecom services rapidly. This service will especially deliver the Internet in areas where it is difficult to establish a traditional network.

The country’s Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia informed that now Starlink has been allowed to start service in India. He informed that earlier a license was also issued by the government to Bharti Airtel’s Onweb and Reliance’s Jio. Now by getting this license to Starlink, satellite internet services will take a new form in India.
Scindia also said that it will now be possible to deliver the internet in those areas of the country where it is difficult to install traditional tower or cable. With this, good internet service will also be available in far-flung and hilly areas and a strong step will move towards Digital India.
