Sri Lanka showed strength in powerplay
The Sri Lankan team has a target of 140 runs against Bangladesh in the first match of the Asia Cup. The team made a strong comeback after losing the wicket of Kusal Mendis in the second over. Pathum Nisanka and Kamil Mishara together took the score to 55 runs without losing any wicket in the powerplay.

After running away from the midwicket, he diverted, picked up the ball and hit the lightning throw, causing the heart to be out for 8 runs. Earlier, after taking two wickets, the Sri Lankan bowlers shook the Bangladeshi batting. The initial shocks turned the match towards Sri Lanka.
