Sri Lanka shocks on shock but hold in match strong, Bangladesh’s defeat fixed

Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh Asia Cup: Sri Lanka’s team is facing Bangladesh in the Asia Cup. Bangladesh team had registered a big 7 wicket win over Hong Kong in the first match while Sri Lanka is starting their campaign. This match will be between two powerful teams of Group B. Sri Lankan captain Charith Asanka has decided to bowl first after winning the toss in this match. Bangladesh scored 139 runs even after losing 5 wickets for 53 runs. Zakir Ali and Shamim Hussain took the team to the score to fight.

Sri Lanka showed strength in powerplay

The Sri Lankan team has a target of 140 runs against Bangladesh in the first match of the Asia Cup. The team made a strong comeback after losing the wicket of Kusal Mendis in the second over. Pathum Nisanka and Kamil Mishara together took the score to 55 runs without losing any wicket in the powerplay.

Sri Lanka’s team failed to stop Bangladesh on a small score even after losing 5 wickets for 53 runs. Zakir Ali and Shamim Hussain came into trouble and played a brilliant innings for the team and the score took 139 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Kamil Mishara showed amazing throw off Nuwan Tushara’s ball. After running away from the midwicket, he diverted, picked up the ball and hit the lightning throw, causing the heart to be out for 8 runs. Earlier, after taking two wickets, the Sri Lankan bowlers shook the Bangladeshi batting. The initial shocks turned the match towards Sri Lanka.
