According to DGP Gaurav Yadav, preliminary investigation has revealed that Gagandeep Singh was in touch with Pakistan -based Khalistani supporter Gopal Singh Chawla for the last five years.

He was introduced to Pakistani intelligence officials through Chawla. The accused had shared information about army activities, deployment of soldiers and strategic bases in India during Operation Sindoor, which could have become a major threat to the national security of the country.
