Former captain Sourav Ganguly is going to enter cricket politics once again. BCCI President Ganguly, Bengal Cricket Association (CAB) can contest elections for the post of President.
Sourav Ganguly is preparing to return to the Cricket Board.Sourav Ganguly started his administrative visit in 2014 as Secretary of Bengal Cricket Association. He was unanimously elected BCCI President in 2019. After Ganguly, the 1983 World Cup hero Roger Binny was elected the board president. 52 -year -old Ganguly can now move towards taking administrative responsibility again. According to reports, Sourav Ganguly has been regularly contacting members of the Bengal Cricket Association for the last few months. Many people of the Sangh also believe that a person of ‘Dada’ should come back to administration.
CAB chief is currently Ganguly’s elder brother
Interestingly, CAB president is now Snehashish Ganguly. He is the elder brother of Sourav Ganguly. Snehashish is going to complete six years. After this, they may have to step down under compulsory cooling-off time. It is also interesting that in CAB, one brother will replace another brother, who is not unique in the cricket board.
