Raj Kushwaha, the main accused in Raja’s murder, was arrested by the Shillong police from Indore. Raj and other accused were initially questioned in the Indore Crime Branch office.

According to the Crime Branch official, Raj had confessed to the Crime Branch officer and Shillong police before going from Indore to Shillong that after the murder, Sonam had stayed in a hotel near a car showroom on Dawas Naka after the murder. He put an ID of a girl named Anjali. But the police investigation found this information wrong.
In fact, Sonam stayed in a building flat in Dewas Naka from 26 May to 7 June. According to Silom Jams, who rented a flat rented, a young man named Raj Kushwaha came here with Vishal and went on an agreement by paying rent.
After this, he is not aware of whether Sonam or any other stop in the flat. Silom has said to give a copy of the agreement and other documents made by Raj to the police. This building is named after Lokendra Singh Tomar.
According to the information, the Crime Branch team reached the spot on Wednesday for investigation. The team examined the entry and CCTV footage of the building from 25 to 27 May, confirming Sonam’s stay there. However, the police have not yet officially confirmed Sonam’s stay there.

Sonam stayed in the hotel earlier Raj had said in front of the Crime Branch and Shillong police, the hotel where the furniture work was going on near the car showroom on Sonam Dewas Naka was staying there. Here on the night of 26 May, information about the stop of a couple named Vishal and Anjali came to light. Both had written their address to Govind Nagar. Both reached the hotel at 2 pm and left after about 4 hours. Aadhaar card entry was also found in the register. At the same time, the mobile number that was written turned out to be wrong.
But it could not be confirmed that Sonam was the girl who stayed here as Anjali. After this, the Crime Branch also discovered the hotel where furniture was being built. However, Raj Shillong could not tell the name of that hotel to the police. Crime Branch officials have denied checking the hotel directly.
