Army did Reiki

According to Reiki done by the army, Atlakoti glacier is completely covered with snow and about 30 feet of snow is frozen. The small Atlakoti glacier has a layer of 10 feet and 8 to 10 feet of snow around Hemkunt Sahib. On the 6 km long route from Govind Dham to Hemkunt Sahib, 2 to 7 feet of snow has been frozen.

Formal start from 22 May

President of Hemkunt Sahib Trust Narendrajeet Singh Bindra said that the formal start of the yatra will be on 22 May under the leadership of Panch Pyaron from Gurdwara Sri Rishikesh. Removing ice of the way and other necessary preparations may take three weeks to one month, so a team of 25 army personnel has started work a month in advance.

This party has reached Govind Ghat today and will reach Govind Dham, 13 km tomorrow, where one day will stop and take a mold of the weather and atmosphere. From April 19, he will leave for Hemkunt Sahib. First the road will be removed from the road and the way will be prepared, followed by ice around the gurudwara.

Bridge construction work is going on fast

Bindra said that the bridge on the river near Gurudwara Govind Ghat was broken due to landslide, which is being rebuilt. This work is also going on fast and construction work will be completed in a few days. This new bridge will be of 30 tonnes capacity. He said that due to the efforts of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, this work is being done fast and the government has also received assurance to provide necessary facilities for the journey.
