New Delhi. Punjab Kings were defeated by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Qualifier 1 of the Indian Premier League 2025. The entire team could not play even 15 overs and was reduced to just 101 runs. After the bowling of RCB, the batsmen fiercely raised the target in 60 balls and confirmed the place in the final. Even after the crushing condition of the team, the captain of Punjab captain did not decrease. He said we have lost the fight, but not war.

Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer believes that now the time has come to look back and analyze what went wrong for him. He made this statement after a poor performance in qualifier 1 against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The match was played at Mullanpur Stadium in Punjab on Thursday.

Punjab Kings suffered a crushing defeat by 8 wickets at the hands of RCB. The hosts were reduced to 101 runs in the first innings. This proved to be a major setback for him as RCB won the match with 10 overs thanks to Phil Salt’s fiery half -century innings. After the match, Iyer expressed disappointment but insisted that he had to look back and understand where the mistake was made.

He said, “This is not the day to forget, rather we have to plan again. We have lost a lot of wickets. We have to go back to a lot and look carefully. I am not doubting our decisions, honestly.
