Mumbai. Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai got married in April 2007 at a grand level, but only Bachchan and Rai family members and some close friends attended the wedding. Many close friends of Bachchan family were not invited to Abhishek-Aishwarya’s wedding. However, later Amitabh Bachchan sent sweets to those people to compensate for it. However, Amitabh’s close friend and star actor Shatrughan Sinha turned down the sweets and wedding card and sent him back to the Bachchan family.
Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha worked in many films like ‘Bombay to Goa’, ‘Kala Patthar’, ‘Naseeb’, ‘Shaan’ and ‘Dostana’. Both have also been very good friends. But Shatrughan Sinha got angry with Amitabh for not calling Abhishek’s wedding, when Amitabh Bachchan sent sweets to him, Shatrughan did not like it. Shatrughan Sinha said in an interview to Mid-Day, “When I did not call, what is the sweets? I will not stay in another place and will not embarrass them by accepting sweets. At least I expected that either Amitabh or a family member would call me before sending sweets. When it did not happen, why did the sweets?”
