In the US, Shashi Tharoor answered the question of his journalist son Ishan Tharoor.
Shashi Tharoor, who is leading the Indian delegation in the US, asked his son Ishan Tharoor about Pakistan’s involvement in the Pahalgam attack. In the Washington Post, journalist Ishan asked if any country has sought evidence of Pakistan’s involvement in the attack, especially when Pakistan is refusing.
On this, Shashi Tharoor said that if there was no strong evidence against Pakistan, then the action that India took would not have taken it. It is very simple that no one had any doubt and no one asked us for evidence. Yes, the media has asked us this question in two-three places. I would just say that if we did not have trusted evidence, we would not have taken action.
Tharoor counted 3 reasons against Pakistan
Tharoor said in response to his son’s question that Pakistan has a 37 -year history when he has carried out terrorist attacks and then retracted him. Tharoor gave 3 reasons for Pakistan’s involvement in the Pahalgam attack …
First reason: pattern of history and evidence
Tharoor said that Pakistan continued to retract for a long time that it did not know about the location of Osama bin Laden. Later he was found in a safe house near Army Camp in Cantt area of Pakistan.
Similarly, Pakistan refused to attend the 2008 Mumbai attack. But the terrorist who was caught, his name, his identity, his address was all Pakistani. In the police interrogation, he told everything where he got training.
Everyone knows that this is what Pakistan does. He sends terrorists and till these terrorists are caught, they will continue to refuse.
Second reason: TRF claims responsibility for the attack
Tharoor said that the terrorist organization named The Resistance Front (TRF) had taken responsibility within 45 minutes of the Pahalgam attack. This organization is associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba. This organization run by Muridke of Pakistan has been banned by the United Nations and American State Department.
When this organization took responsibility for the attack, the world did not even know about this attack. First of all, this suspicion arises. 24 hours later this organization claimed again. After this, perhaps his handlers would have understood the seriousness of the case and he would have asked TRF to withdraw from taking responsibility for the attack. However, the claim was made, which the whole world saw.
Third reason: Functions of terrorists were removed in Pakistan
Tharoor said that after India’s 7 May surgical strike, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar militants were involved in Pakistan, including officials there.
When the terrorist camps were first attacked, they were organized for them, including members of the main organizations such as Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba. These funerals, and pictures were revealed on social media. These funerals were kept by the families of the terrorists and the Pakistani Generals and the police officers attended their uniforms.
Tharoor had said- working in the national interest is not anti-party
Shashi Tharoor reacted to the anti -party rhetoric on Thursday. He had said- Those who consider working in the national interest as anti-party activity, should question themselves.
Tharoor gave this answer on the question of speculation of leaving the Congress. He said- When you are serving the country, then you should not care much about such things. Our political differences end as soon as they go outside the border of India. We are first Indians as soon as we cross the border.
Tharoor is on an American tour these days, where he is leading the multi -party delegation made on Operation Sindoor. On speaking in support of the government, Congress leader Udit Raj described Tharoor as a BJP super spokesperson.
Tharoor said on Trump- India does not need anyone’s advice Throor said on the statement of US President Donald Trump’s arbitration between Indo-Pak- I have not come here to air any dispute. The US President is respected. We do not know what he said to Pakistan, but we did not need anyone’s advice.
We said on the first day that if Pakistan attacks, we will answer more vigorously. And if he stops, then we will also stop.
India gave strict reply during Operation Sindoor Tharoor said that after the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April, India had air strikes on terrorist bases in Pakistan and POK on 7 May. Pakistan tried to attack Indian military bases on 8, 9 and 10 May, which India strictly responded. On May 10, action was stopped after the DGMO talks of the two countries.

Tharoor wrote that whenever I need for national interest, I will not lag behind.
Tharoor praised the Center for Operation Sindoor MP Shashi Tharoor praised the central government on 8 May for Operation Sindoor. He had said that Operation Sindoor is a strong message for Pakistan and the world. India took accurate action to avenge the death of 26 innocent citizens. Many Congress leaders have been angry with him since this statement by Tharoor.
Congress had said- Tharoor crosses Laxman Rekha The Congress Working Committee (CWC) met in Delhi on 14 May. In this, some leaders had pointed to Tharoor, saying that this is not the time to express personal views, but it is time to clarify the official stance of the party. Congress is a democratic party, but people keep expressing their opinion. This time Tharoor has crossed the Laxman Rekha.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju shared the list of Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs on X on 17 May.
The previous governments also sent delegation abroad to present their case-
1994: Leader of Opposition Vajpayee presented India’s favor in UNHRC This is not the first time that the central government will take the help of opposition parties to present its case on any issue. Earlier in 1994, the then Prime Minister Narasimha Rao sent Indian delegation under the leadership of Leader of Opposition Atal Bihari Vajpayee to the United Nations Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) in Geneva to present India’s favor on the issue of Kashmir.
Former Chief Ministers of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah and Salman Khurshid were also involved in that delegation. Pakistan was then preparing to present a proposal in front of the UNHRC in relation to alleged human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir.
However, Indian delegation responded to Pakistan’s allegations and as a result Pakistan had to withdraw its proposal. At that time, India’s Ambassador to UN Hamid Ansari also played an important role in making Prime Minister Rao’s strategy successful.
2008: Manmohan government sent delegation abroad after Mumbai attacks After the Mumbai attacks in 2008, the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh also decided to send the delegation of various political parties abroad along with documents related to Pakistani links in terrorist attacks.
India had decided not to launch a military attack on Pakistan. However, due to the diplomatic attack of the Manmohan government, Pakistan was under considerable international pressure to take action against Lashkar-e-Taiba and other terrorist groups. The United Nations Security Council and Financial Action Task Force (FATF) also put Pakistan in the gray list for the first time.
What is operation vermilion? On 22 April, there was a terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. 26 tourists were killed by the terrorists. On 7 May, India had a airplane at Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) and 9 terrorist bases in Pakistan. The army killed 100 terrorists. The ceasefire was agreed between the two countries from 5 pm on 10 May.
