Sanchar Saathi App: The communication partner app of the Department of Telecommunications has been covered. It was downloaded more than 50 lakh times in just 6 months.
Use face lock or fingerprint- Most phones support biometric security nowadays. You can link the face id or fingerprint with the app lock so that no app can open without scanning your face or thumb.With the help of this app, 5.35 lakh lost or stolen mobile phones have been returned so far. Also, more than 1 crore fake mobile connections have been discontinued and 29 lakh suspected numbers have been deactivated through Chakhakshu feature.
It is very easy to report fraud calls and messages on this app launched in January 2025. Users can send a report directly from their calls and SMS logs to some tap. The app is available in Hindi, English besides 21 regional languages. This app is available on both Android and iOS platforms.

The Ministry of Communications said, “Reporting of fraud calls and messages has been made even easier, as now users can file a report directly from their calls and SMS logs in a few taps.” The Department of Telecommunications has also implemented the Financial Fraud Risk Indicator (FRI), which assesses and catarries mobile numbers related to the financial fraud risk. This device enables banks, NBFCs and UPI service providers to take active action for consumers.

Adulting the success of the portal launched on 16 May 2023, the Department of Telecommunications introduced the Communications fellow mobile app on 17 January 2025, which gives users directly and convenient access to telecom security services.
