With this record, Mahendra Para has become the third athlete of Rajasthan to make world records in Para Javalin Throw. Mahendra Gurjar has set a world record in this category by throwing 61.17 meters in the F-42 category of Men Javalin at the Indian Open International Para Athletics Championship 2025.
Mahendra Gurjar, who set a world record in the 7th Indian Open International Para Athletics Championship 2025, had one leg in one leg since childhood, but his passion for the game and Jasbe strengthened him. Mahendra Gurjar’s game was started by his elder brother Ajaypal and introduced him to Javelin coach Samarjit Singh Malli. Mahendra Gurjar was born on 12 April 2000. Near Jaipur and the smallest district of Rajasthan, Dudu, hails from Sakhun village. Mahendra comes from a farmer family. Mahendra has completed his studies till 12th from his village. His game training started after 12th and he sweated fiercely for 5 years. He has now become international players and has made many records while playing in small competitions.
Mahendra Gurjar has won several medals in the javelin throw, but with the medal, he has made many records in the para athlete category and he has broken his own record twice. In the 7th Indian Open International Para Athletics Championship 2025, Mahendra broke his own record twice by throwing two consecutive throw. Mahendra Devendra Jhajhadia, who set a world record from Rajasthan in Para Jeweln, is the third athlete after Gurjar. However, Devendra and Sundar’s category was different. He had a hand problem while Mahendra has polio.
Mahendra Gurjar started his javelin game with coach Samarjit Singh Malli, a resident of Ramsinghpur village in Sriganganagar for a long time. Coach Malli has also won medals at the Asian Championship, national and international levels. Coach Malli has played his own academy, where he prepares champion players. Mahendra started taking training from the coach during the Korona period. Right now Mahendra is training with his coach at NIS Patiala for the Para World Athletics Championship.
Amhendra Gurjar has won gold, silver and branch medals in Javelin. Mahendra has set records in different international competitions, in which for the first time in Switzerland, he made a record by throwed 61.17 meters. After this, he made records in different competitions continuously and recently breaking all his records, he has created a new reference.
