Saint Louis Rapid and Blitz Chass Tournament: D Gukesh made a brilliant comeback, stayed at third position on the first day

St. Louis (America): Current world champion D Gukesh made a comeback over Grigori Operin and Leim Le Quang, returning after the first round of Lavon Aronian’s first round and finished third on the first day of the St. Louis Rapid and Blitz Chess tournament being played under the Grand Chess Tour.

Gukesh did not have a good start and lost to Aronian in a tough match of the first round, but after that he made a brilliant comeback and scored four out of the potential six points by defeating operin and Liim in other instruments played on Monday.

Leem and Operin are second with two points. Nodirbeck has a point in account, while Sam Shankaland is in the final place after losing all his matches.

Gukesh suffered defeat due to the complications caused by Cairo ear defense game in the first round. In the second round, the Indian player sacrificed his queen to chew Openerin and defeat Operin in the second round and easily win.
