New Delhi: Now beating Chris Gayle Rowman Powell has become the second highest run-scorer for West Indies at Powell T20 International. Powell achieved this feat in the fourth T20 match played against Australia at Warner Park. After a consecutive score (1, 12 and 9) in the first three matches, Powell caught the rhythm and scored 28 runs off 22 balls with the help of two fours and two sixes.
This innings of Rowman Powell may be small, but in this he showed a glimpse of his power hitting capacity. With this innings, Powell has now scored an average of 25.66 in 99 T20 Internationals and 1,925 runs at a strike rate of more than 141. While Chris Gayle has 1,899 runs in the 79 T20 International match, he also scored two centuries and 14 half-centuries at an average of 27.92 and a strike rate of 137.50. His best score was 117 runs.
