Robin Uthappa, a member of the Indian cricket team, is also seen getting caught in the illegal betting app case. The Central Investigation Agency Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued summons to Uthappa for questioning in the money laundering case related to the 1x Bet case. He has been asked to appear at the ED office in Delhi on 22 September 2025.

Cricketer in this case Shikhar Dhawan And cricketers like Suresh Raina have already been questioned. This development has not only shook the cricket world, but has also caught attention to the deep network of betting and money laundering.

Uthappa was famous for explosive batting

Robin Uthappa has been a part of the Indian cricket team from 2003 to 2014. Uthappa has also been famous for his aggressive batting in the IPL. However, now he seems to be getting caught in legal complications.

The ED claims that illegal betting apps like 1xbet attracted millions of users in India and through it a huge amount of black money accumulated. These apps focused on cricket betting and live casino games, which is a violation of the country’s gambling laws. These activities have been banned under the Online Gaming Act, 2025, and ED is taking strict action to break this network. The alleged involvement of other cricketers including Uthappa has made this investigation more serious.
