Return of Mohammed Shami, Vaibhav Suryavanshi in Standboy, Ishaan Kishan will captain

New Delhi. Mohammed Shami is going to appear in white jersey soon. India and Bengal star Pacer Shami has been included in the East Zone team for the Dalip Trophy. Ishaan Kishan has been made the captain of this 15 -member team. This team also includes Abhimanyu Ishwar, Akash Deep, Ryan Parag and Mukesh Kumar. Abhimanyu Ishwaran has been made the vice-captain. He is currently in England with the Indian team.

Ishaan Kishan has scored two half -centuries in the County Championship Division One for Nottinghamshire. He has received a reward of this performance. Fourteen -year -old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been included in six standby players of the East Zone team. He scored the fastest century for the Indian Under-19 team on a tour of England last month,

Shami Mohammad, 34, played the last match in IPL 2025. He took six wickets in nine matches for his new team Sunrisers Hyderabad. His last first class match was in the Ranji Trophy for Bengal in November 2024. This was his last red-ball match. Shami played the last Test match in June 2023.

In the Ranji Trophy of last season, Bengal’s leading run-scorer Sudeep Chatterjee has not found a place in the East Zone team. The top two-run-scorer Virat Singh and Sharandeep Singh are part of the team in the last Ranji Trophy in Jharkhand. Also, left -arm spinner Manishi has been given a place.

A total of six teams will play in the Dalip Trophy. The first match of the East Zone domestic season will be played against the North Zone from August 28 at the Center of Excellence in Bengaluru. The Duleep Trophy was last played in the regional format in 2023-24. Then South Zone won the tournament.
