According to the Meteorological Center Jaipur, on the first day, Monsoon is raining in Udaipur, Banswara, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Chittorgarh, Jhalawar, Baran, Sirohi, Barmer, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Ajmer, Bhilwara.
34.6 mm so far in June. Rain
According to Meteorological Center Director Radheshyam Sharma, the monsoon has come 7 days ago. The entry is usually around 25 June. Rajasthan has received an average rainfall of 34.6mm from 1 to 17 June, which is 63 percent more than normal. There is a possibility of heavy rains in the state in Udaipur, Kota division for the next 5-7 days.
The highest rainfall in the last 10 years in 2024
On an average 435mm rainfall occurs in Rajasthan from June to 30 September (monsoon season). Looking at the last 10 years of report, it was only in the year 2018 when the rainfall in the monsoon has been reduced by average. In the last year 2024, there was heavy rainfall in the monsoon season, at that time there was 56 percent more rainfall in the entire state than average. This time too, the Meteorological Department has predicted more than average rainfall in Rajasthan.
Rainfall was 88 percent more than average in Jaipur last year
The capital Jaipur received heavy rains during the last monsoon season. From June 1 to September 30, it rained 88 percent more than the average. Jaipur has an average of 524.3mm rain on an average season, but last season it rained 986.6mm. Apart from Jaipur, Dausa received 1409.4mm rainfall as compared to 594.5mm rainfall, which was 137 percent more than the average. This was the district where the last season was the most rainy. At the same time, Sikar, Alwar and Jhunjhunu had 54 per cent, 73 per cent and 35 per cent more rain from average respectively.
Jhalawar of Kota division was less than average rainfall
In the last season, Jhalawar is a district of four districts of Kota division Kota, Baran, Bundi, Jhalawar where the average was 3 percent less rainfall. Jhalawar receives an average of 884.3mm rainfall in a season, while the last season rained 853.9mm. Apart from this, Kota recorded 901.5mm or 23 percent more rainfall than 732.2mm average rainfall. At the same time, Bundi had 63 percent more than the average, while Baran district had 30 percent more rain than the average.
70 percent more rainfall than average in Bharatpur division
Last season, Bharatpur in eastern Rajasthan received heavy rains. The average rainfall in Bharatpur district was 925.4mm rainfall over 543.3mm, which was 70 percent more than the average. Dholpur rained 1211.8mm, it was 107 percent more than the average. Karauli received 1245.8mm rainfall, which received 109 per cent more than average and Sawai Madhopur received 1285.6mm rainy rainfall more than average.
Monsoon average in Udaipur division
The monsoon average was last season in Udaipur division. Udaipur district received 698.3mm rainfall compared to 617.7mm average rainfall. There was 817.8mm in Chittorgarh, 1100.7mm in Pratapgarh, 774mm in Dungarpur and 1043.4mm in Banswara.
Floods in Tonk, Gate of Bisalpur Dam had to open
Last year, there was heavy rains in the area of Tonk, Bhilwara, Ajmer in the area of Ajmer division. Tonk had flood -like conditions. Due to heavy rains, the Bisalpur dam was full here in September, due to which the dam’s gates had to be opened and water had to be released. The previous season in Ajmer was 819.6mm or 79 percent more rainfall compared to the average rainfall of 458.3mm. Similarly, Tonk rained 97 percent more than 1115.6mm average, 41 percent more than 854.8mm in Bhilwara and 78 percent more than 656.5mm in Nagaur.
There was one and a half times rain in Jaisalmer, monsoon was good in Jodhpur division
Last season, western Rajasthan also received good monsoon rains. Jaisalmer received 438.2mm rainfall over the average rainfall of 176.9mm, which was 148 percent more than the average. Jodhpur district received 507.6mm rainfall in the previous season, which is 73 per cent higher than the average rainfall of 292.6mm. Pali had 59 per cent rain from average, 65 in Barmer, 13 in Jalore and 6 per cent more than average in Sirohi.
Good rain in Bikaner division
Last season, the area of Bikaner division received good monsoon rains. By the second week of July and August, the monsoon rains had exceeded the average. Bikaner rained last season 423.3mm last season, which was 71 percent more than the average of 247mm rainfall. Churu received 536.3mm (61 per cent more), Ganganagar 314.1mm (53 per cent more) and Hanumangarh had 328.4mm (29 per cent) more rains.
