Thousands of farmers are eagerly waiting for the 20th installment of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan). Under the PM Kisan Yojana, all the eligible land holders regulated by this government program get the necessary financial assistance. In this scheme, the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system is used, due to which Rs 6,000 is deposited every year directly in farmers’ bank accounts.
So far 19 installments have been deposited, the last installment was given on 24 February 2025. The 20th installment is expected to come in the beginning of July 2025. Farmers are advised to fulfill all eligibility conditions so that any kind of delay or rejection can be avoided.
Disturbances in the Aadhaar name can delay the payment: the name of the beneficiary should match their Aadhaar information so that they can get the installment. If there is a mistake in the name, such as incorrect spelling or incompatibility in format, then payment will not be made. To fix this problem, PM-farmer beneficiaries will have to update their names according to Aadhaar record.
E-KYC from Mobile App: For this, the beneficiary will have to do bio authentication based e-KYC at face authentication or CSC centers through the mobile app. It has been said on the PM Kisan website that please do bio-authentication based e-KYC at face authentication or CSC centers through mobile apps for name improvement.
How to correct the name according to Aadhaar?: The government has made it easy for farmers to correct its name through digital certification methods. According to the official PM-Kisan website, you can update your name thus: Farmers can download the PM-Kisan app and start the improvement process by completing the face certification. You can also do bio-procurement based EKYC at CSC centers. Alternatively, beneficiaries can complete EKYC and improve names using biometric verification by visiting their nearest Common Service Center (CSC).
How to complete face authentication E-Kyc (Mobile App): Download PM-Kisan mobile app and Aadhaar Face RD app from Google Play Store. Open the PM-Kisan app and login with your registered mobile number. Go to the benefits of benefit. If E-KYC status is showing “no”, click on ‘E-Kyc’. Enter your Aadhaar number and allow to scan face. Once your face is successfully scanned, E-Kyc will be completed. Note that the E-KYC status will be updated on the portal within 24 hours of completion of success through any mode.
