Open DNA testing lab in Bikaner, poxo to terrorist attacks will be easier, fourth lab of the state

Bikaner: Now DNA will be reported in Bikaner too. For this, a DNA testing facility was started at the Regional Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Karaninagar, Bikaner, Bikaner. After Jaipur, Jodhpur and Ajmer in Rajasthan, now Bikaner has become the fourth city where the complete facility of DNA investigation has become available. 18 advanced machines have been installed in this laboratory at a cost of Rs 5 crore. The DNA investigation will now provide quick reporting and clear evidence for cases of nearby districts including Bikaner, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu. This will make the identity of criminals more accurate and the resolve of cases will be intensified.

Different labs have been set up for this. In such a situation, murder, rape, gang rape, burn case, exchange of newborn, confirmation of paternity disputes and heritage cases, bomb blasts, terrorist attacks will be easily investigated. It was inaugurated by District and Sessions Judge Atul Kumar Saxena, FSL Director Dr. Ajay Sharma, SP Kavendra Singh Sagar and Additional Director Dr. V Venkates by lighting the lamp.

This is Bikaner’s fourth DNA test laboratory
Rajasthan FSL Director Dr. Ajay Sharma said that all the tests of DNA will be done here. In which poxo, murder, rape case etc. will be tested in this laboratory. Earlier, all these samples used to go to Jaipur. There are many test pending so far in Jaipur. Now this test facility has been made available at the division level. So that a report can be sent at a quick speed. This DNA test laboratory of Bikaner is fourth. Apart from this, the highest sections have started at the regional level. There are seven sections here. The report in the Poxo case will be able to reach the report as soon as possible. Earlier, these samples used to be sent to Jaipur, with it now a separate staff has been set up by setting up a laboratory in Bikaner. Apart from this, the instrument unit has come different, which will see the cases of Bikaner division. Now the report will be received soon. Reports of up to 12 years of age will have to be given within seven days. They say that it will be our endeavor to reach the court after 15 days of submission of the case.

This laboratory will save time and resources
Till now, 25-30 DNA samples were sent to Jaipur or Jodhpur every month in Bikaner division. This used to take 1 to 2 months to get the report. Many times justice was also postponed in the cases due to this delay. Now in Bikaner itself, due to the facility of DNA testing, the time and resources will be saved and the justice process will also intensify.
They say that DNA check is a scientific way to confirm a person’s genetic identity. This investigation is done on the basis of the established identity, paternity dispute, or biological evidences associated with crime.
