Chatgpt down: Openai’s popular chatbot is once again facing a large scale global outage. Ever since it introduced the image generation tool for users, the platform has been facing continuous outage. Users are unable to use Chatgpt for their everyday tasks because there is an error in the shared prompt.
According to Downdetector, the outage was at the peak in late evening, with more than 2,000 reports in the US and more than 200 in India. Chatgpt received more than 80%complaints, followed by the website (18%) and app (6%).
The burden increased due to the huge
This outage came exactly a day after a similar disturbance on Tuesday evening, in which 1,594 users reported problems globally. At that time, 94% of the complaints were particularly related to the Chatgpt, which raised questions on Openai’s ability to handle the increasing demand for generative AI services.
Angry users have gone on X and are sharing fun memes, opinions and videos to troll the Chatgpt for the outage several times in the same week. Some users also joked in it and trolled CEO Sam Altman and tweeted, “You are not ready for image tool version 2.”
Why down
The reason for this outage is not clear yet, but it may be due to the heavy response to the chatbott. Openai had earlier told that it has added more than 1 million users in an hour. After the GHIBLI trend went viral, the company is getting a lot of attention.
Interestingly, the company also made the GHIBLI style image generating tool available for free users. However, due to a large number of users, the company has limited it only 3 image generations every day. It is not yet a climate of when the Chatgpt services will be restored.
