Airport officials clarified on Sunday after Indigo’s flight was diverted to Jaipur. He said-flight diversion occurred due to sudden change in weather and runway upgradation.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was traveling with this flight. He was agitated over flight diversion at Delhi Airport on Saturday night. He said- There is a complete view of wastage at Delhi Airport.
The authority replied to Omar Abdullah and wrote, ‘Dear Mr. Abdullah, as you know, we have already released many advisory in Delhi about the sudden changing weather and wind direction. This work was started after consulting all the concerned agencies. The airport said the runway 10/28 has been closed for upgrade from 8 April.

Delhi airport management gave clarification After this incident, the Delhi Airport Management clarified that the delay in air traffic is the change in the direction of the wind. The arrival of flights was banned for some time for the safety of passengers. Also, passengers were advised to keep taking information about the flight from their airline.

Many flights of Jammu Airport were also canceled
On the other hand, passengers had to face a lot of trouble at Jammu Airport on Saturday. Many flights were canceled or late due to bad weather in Srinagar, which affected connecting flights in Jammu. The crowd increased inside the terminal and the passengers shared the video on social media and stated the situation.
SpiceJet also informed that all flights could be affected due to bad weather in Srinagar, and requested the passengers to check their flight status.

There was chaos at Delhi Airport on 11 April

On April 11, the dusty storm in Delhi in Delhi delayed flights operation at Indira Gandhi International Airport. These situations remained till the afternoon of April 12. According to flight tracking website flightradar24.com, more than 450 flights were delayed during this period. 18 flights were canceled. The routes were also changed. The average delay in flight operation was more than 50 minutes.
Due to the affecting flight operation, a large number of passengers gathered at the airport and there was an atmosphere of chaos. Passengers faced problems like long wait and frequent checking.
