Why had to release guidelines
Dr. Sanjay Rai told that obesity is growing very fast in our country. Physical activity is also necessary along with healthy catering to prevent obesity and diseases, but today people are leaving both these things behind by pretending to be busy. People do not move. At the same time, unhealthy food has started working in poison in it. People consume pizza-burgers, samosa, jalebi, dumplings etc. in the taste of taste. The most packaged chips, bhujia, biscuits etc. are becoming the main food of today’s people. Samosa-Jalebi is the main snack in India for centuries. Due to all these reasons, the Government of India had to issue guidelines.
Dr. Sanjay Rai, Professor of the Department of Community Medicine, AIIMS, said that the guideline issued is a good step towards making people aware. He said that it is already public information that carbohydrates and fat should be taken only in balanced quantity. But samosa-jalebi etc. contain a lot of carbohydrate and fat which causes a lot of damage. He said that usually people become more dependent on fat and carbohydrates, which increases obesity and also increases the risk of many diseases. Obesity is a big problem around the world and the main reason for this is the reduction of physical activity of the people. If people do not exercise or do, they do very little.
It is necessary to make people aware
Dr. Sanjay Rai said that what people are eating, more important than what they are eating, is it burning or not. If we eat the things that we eat, then the body does not burn in the body, then the excess fat of the body becomes. This waste is our enemy. This is not burn because we do not try to burn this. We have become accustomed to comfortable lifestyle. If we exercise, then fat will not be deposited in the body. Dr. Sanjay Rai said that it is not the right way to not take fat at all or to avoid sugar-oil, but it is important that eat everything in small quantities and physical activity should be done regularly. We also need fat but healthy fat and very little fat are needed. Therefore, we need healthy fat. He said that packaged food is the most fatal for us. Therefore, it is a good thing that now it will be necessary to give this information on food and drink. It is important to tell people how much fat, sugar and oil are in what you are eating. This will increase awareness among people and they will be able to choose food carefully.
