Mark Wood Statement Rohit Sharma: Mark Wood has described this Indian veteran as the most difficult batsman, not Virat Kohli. England’s stormy bowler says that when I bowl to Rohit Sharma, it is like this …Read more

Mark Wood, while talking on ‘The Overlap Cricket’ podcast, said that while playing against India, he was most difficult to face which batsmen. Wood said, ‘I will choose Rohit Sharma according to different stages of my career. It is difficult to bowl them because while bowling short, you feel that they have a chance to dismiss but if he is in form that day, he bats. So they were difficult to bowl. I always felt that ‘their bat is just getting wide’.
Wood is one of the fastest bowlers in recent years who have the ability to bowl at a speed of more than 145 km per hour. He also described Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant as a tough competitor. He said, ‘Kohli is definitely incredible competitive. Such players about whom I felt that the fourth and fifth stump is their weakness but whenever I bowled them on this line, they never missed it. So he was difficult to bowl. Rohit and Kohli have retired from T20 and Test cricket, but both are active in ODI format.
‘Rishabh Pant maintains restraint’
Talking about Rishabh Pant, Wood said about this wicketkeeper-batsman, ‘I think he maintains restraint. He can be so unexpected that if you always bowl the same way, then his eyes are very fast and he hits at will. Therefore, while bowling, you should try slow ball, high bouncer or sharp yorker.
