The Punjab Police team was also present on the spot during the action. The police handled the security system from outside, while the NIA went inside and raided. A Punjab Police official said that he was called only for cooperation.
According to sources, these hotels were reported to have a relationship with Pakistan. Due to Amritsar border area, incidents of drug trafficking are common in Pakistan from here. Alert has been issued in this area after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. The NIA kept distance from the media and has not shared any information about the seized documents.
