His club Santos gave this information in a statement to Brazilian media. 33 -year -old Neymar felt symptoms on Thursday and was immediately separated from the team. The infection was later confirmed in the medical test.
Barcelona forward Neymar’s future in Santos is still uncertain, as their contract is ending in June. Despite being limited by injury, he has played 12 matches for Santos in all competitions this season, including three goals and three assist.
