Highlights
- The American company has created a new vaccine for breast cancer.
- This vaccine does not allow breast cancer cells to grow.
- The first trial of the vaccine has been very successful.
New injection for breast cancer: The discovery of the treatment of breast cancer has found an important success. Biotechnology company Enicksa Bioscience said that her breast cancer vaccine has been very successful for clinical testing earlier. Now the trial of its second phase will be started very soon. This is such a vaccine stops the cancerous tumor before growing. This means that after applying this vaccine, breast cancer patients can also be protected from disease. At the same time, people who do not have this disease and people who are more at risk, if they apply this vaccine, then they will not have breast cancer.
Amit Kumar, CEO of Encyssa Bioscience, told Vogue India that this vaccine activates the immune system of the patient. This vaccine finds and destroys it by discovering breast cancer cells and destroys it. He said that if a patient was vaccinated and his immune system was trained to identify cancer cells and destroy them, then this system would eliminate those cells before growing. This vaccine is given in three doses every two weeks. The goal of this vaccine aims to eliminate alpha lactalbumin milk protein. Alpha lactalbumin protein usually produces only during breastfeeding but about 70 percent of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cases are also found in this protein. The study conducted on mice has found good results. But the next phase of human tests will have to certify its safety and effectiveness on a large scale.
How much hope from this vaccine
In the news of Indian Express, oncologist Dr. Radheshyam Nayak said that this vaccine is a type of immunotherapy that aims to prevent some aggressive breast cancer types, especially triple-negative breast cancer. Like traditional vacancies, it does not target infectious agents but it trains the body’s immune system so that it recognizes and destroys the cells containing specific tumors. Dr. Prashant Mehta, Head of Hematology, Medical Oncology and BMT Department at the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, said that researchers studied 35 women in an initial stage clinical test to find a possible way to prevent cancer. The biggest challenge of cancer is the ability to escape from his immune system, which is called immune evidence. This experimental vaccine trains the immune system to identify and respond before it becomes cancer. This targets the special antigens that cells express on the formation of cancer. They are also called retired antigens. It is generally active during delayed pregnancy. Right now this research is in the pre -of pregnancy and it is too early to say whether this method will work in humans or not, but the results are encouraging. Oncologist Dr. Amit Upadhyay at PSRI Hospital says that this vaccine is currently in early clinical trials, but it is being developed on a strong scientific basis. This raises hope. It is considered reliable as it is undergoing harsh clinical tests and testing it as a respected institute like Clivland Clinic.
