He had earlier set a national record in the 5000 meter race and has now set another record by setting a new national record in the 10,000 meter race in the track fest in the US. Ghulaveer Singh, a resident of Sirsa village of Chhara in Aligarh district, won the bronze medal in the 19th Asian Games (Hangzhou, China) in 28.17 minutes and won the bronze medal. According to Shamshad Nisar Azmi, Secretary, District Athletics Association, Gulveer has won more than 32 medals at the state, national and international level so far. For his achievement, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also gave him a check of Rs 75 lakh on Uttar Pradesh Day, which increased his encouragement.
Gulveer is breaking continuous records internationally
Gulveer had earlier set a new national record in the 5000 meter race in David Hemre Valetine World Athletics Continental Tour-2025 (Boston, America). Earlier, he demolished Avinash Sabale’s national record by completing the race in Nigata, Japan in 13: 11.82 minutes. He also set a new record in Portland, America.
