Neeraj Chopra threw 84.35 meters in his first attempt. While German’s Julian Weber set a record with a 91.37 meter throw and Julius Jeo of Grenada recorded a throw of 80.49 meters. Neeraj was third at the end of the first round. Keshorn Walkot of Trinidad was second with a throw of 84.95 meters. In the second round, Julian Weber performed brilliantly by throwing a 91.51 meter spear after throwing 91.37 meters. Neeraj threw an 82 meter spear in his second attempt.
