New Delhi. India’s star Jawan Throw Athlete Neeraj Chopra has been made a lieutenant in the Territorial Army. Neeraj was earlier posted as Subedar in the Army. This was announced by the Defense Ministry, the Government of India weekly authorized magazine, Gazette of India. Neeraj Chopra’s new rank has come into force from 16 April 2025. In the year 2022, Neeraj Chopra was awarded the Param Vishisht Seva Medal by the Indian Armed Force. He was then promoted to the post of Subedar Major.
