According to the ED, on the instructions of Revanth Reddy, Ahmed Patel and Pawan Bansal, many people donated the young Indian between 2019-2022.
In the National Herald case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has claimed in its charge sheet that some Congress leaders had approached several people on the instructions of senior leaders of the party to get Young Indian and Associated Journals Limited (AJL) donated.
Those seeking donations include Telangana Chief Minister and former State Congress President Revanth Reddy, late Ahmed Patel and former Union Minister Pawan Bansal. However, they have not been accused in the ED charge sheet. There has been no response from Reddy and Bansal on the allegations of ED.
The ED claims that on the instructions of Revanth Reddy, Ahmed Patel and Pawan Bansal, many people donated young Indians between 2019-2022. People’s political career and business could suffer losses due to not donating. Some of the Congressmen are members or leaders of the donors.
The charge sheet was filed in the local court on 9 April. Its cognizance has not been taken yet. In this, Congress Rajya Sabha MP Sonia Gandhi has been made accused number 1 and her son Rahul Gandhi as accused number 2. Apart from these, 5 other people have also been accused.

Congress leader confessed to donating 50 lakhs The ED has recorded the statement of Congress leader Arvind Vishwanath Singh Chauhan, who said that he had given 30 lakh and 20 lakh cash to Young Indian from his bank account at the behest of Ahmed Patel. He said that he could not refuse because he had contested the election of MLA on a party ticket.
Another person Rajiv Gambhir told ED that he had donated the young Indian on the instructions of Ahmed Patel. According to the agency, Young Indian received 6.90 crores in FY 2018-19 and 5.05 crores in 2019-20 as donations.
AJL received crores of rupees in the name of advertising The ED also found that a similar payment was made to AJL on the instructions of Congress leaders. More than 12 institutions gave AJL Rs 6.8 crore in the name of advertisement.
In the charge sheet, the agency has taken the name of former Congress MP Ravneet Bittu (who is now in BJP and Union Minister) and former MLA Bharat Bhushan Ashu (who was arrested by ED a few years ago), Bharat Inder Singh Chahal, a close associate of former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, Bharat Inder Singh Chahal (who is now in BJP) and the late Congress leader Oscar Fernandes has been named for those who have been named for advertisements in AJL through AJL. People had approached to gather.
ED bid- A case is made against Sonia-Rahul The National Herald case was heard on 21 May in the Rousse Avenue Court of Delhi. The ED told the court that a case is made against Sonia and Rahul. Both have earned Rs 142 crore from the income of crime.

The ED pasted notices on the buildings of AJL at Herald House (5A, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg) in Delhi, Bandra (East) in Mumbai and AJL in Visheshwar Nath Road in Lucknow. Apart from these immovable properties worth 661 crores, AJL’s 90.2 crore rupees shares were attached by ED in November 2023 to secure the income of crime and prevent the accused from destroying it.
