New Delhi. Ladle Mahendra Singh Dhoni of India has been included in the Hall of Fame by the ICC. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has described MS Dhoni as a player whose achievements cannot be counted in numbers. MS Dhoni is the 11th Indian cricketer included in the ICC Hall of Fame. These 11 cricketers include 2 women players.

The ICC on Monday included 7 cricketers including MS Dhoni in the hall of fame at a special event in London. These include two women cricketers. The Hall of the Fame was started in 2009 by ICC, the highest organization of cricket. This Elite Club includes the same players who have given new heights to cricket. So far a total of 115 cricketers have been included in the Hall of Fame.

MS Dhoni, who played the first international match in 2004, has been given this honor for his brilliant captaincy, memorable career and contribution to cricket. Dhoni, who played more than 500 matches, won the T20 World Cup in 2007 and the ODI Cup in 2011. India also won the Champions Trophy title in 2013 under Dhoni’s captaincy. The Indian team was also number one in the ICC Test rankings during Dhoni’s captaincy.

Pakistan’s Sana Mir is also in Hall of Fame
In the special event held on June 9, the ICC also included six other cricketers in the hall of fame. These include South Africa’s Graeme Smith and Hashim Amla, Australia’s Matthew Hayden, New Zealand’s Danian Vettory. Among women cricketers, former Pakistan captain Sana Mir has been given a place in this Elite Club.

India’s 11th cricketer in Hall of Fame
Prior to MS Dhoni, 11 legends including Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar, Rahul Dravid have joined the ISC Hall of Fame. Among the Indian players, Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar and Bishan Singh Bedi were first given this honor in 2009. After this, Anil Kumble (2015), Rahul Dravid (2018), Sachin Tendulkar (2019), Veenu Mankad (2021) and Virender Sehwag (2023) were named in this Elite Club. Among Indian women cricketers, Diana Idulji (2023) and Neetu David (2024) have got a place in the ICC Hall of Fame.
