Microsoft has shown in its Windows 2030 Vision Video how we will interact with the computer in the coming five years. The mouse and keyboard will be replaced by AI, Voice Command, Gesture and I-Contact.

The video begins with the statement of Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President of Enterprise and OS Security, David Weston. Weston says, “Just as today’s generation finds it strange to use DOS, similarly the use of mouse and keyboard in 2030 will also look old and strange.” He believes that in the coming time, people will interact with the computer with less eyes and more with their voice.
Weston also told about security that in the next five years, users will be able to ‘higher’ an AI-powered security expert on their computer. This AI will interact with the security expert in the same way that they do to a person.
This vision of Microsoft suggests that the mouse and keyboard will take voice, gesture and AI interactions instead of the old input devices. This will not only change the way of using technology, but it will make our daily work fast, easy and more interactive.
