Born on 29 August 1905 in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, Dhyanchand brought hockey to new heights. The ball on his stick used to stick so that the goal was almost fixed. Hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand: Dhyanchand fired 1000 goals

Dhyanchand scored about 1000 goals in his career from 1926 to 1948, including more than 400 international goals. In 1928, from Amsterdam Olympics to 1932 Los Angeles and 1936 Berlin Olympics, he gave India a gold medal 3 consecutive times. He scored 14 goals as soon as he made his debut in 1928. Before independence, this achievement was no less than a miracle. For this, he also received Padmabhushan, the third largest civilian honor in the country.
