Lakshya Sen will lose in quarter -finals and out of All England Championship
Birmingham. For India, one after the other is coming out of the All England badminton tournament. Star women player PV Sindhu lost to a low ranked player, while HS Prannoy also burdened the burden of expectations in the tournament. Lakshya Sen, India’s biggest hope, also disappointed the country. In the quarter -finals of the All England Badminton Championship, he had to lose the world number six and was out of the world’s Shi Feng for China.
Lakshya lost 10–12, 16-21 against China’s Leng Feng and was out of the tournament. In the women’s doubles, Trisa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand also lost the quarter -finals. Trisa and Gayatri were beaten 21-14 21-10 by China’s second seed Liu Shengshu and Tan Ning.
