Ghazipur’s daughter created history in volleyball, now senior team turn
Ghazipur Kirti Tiwari, who has made a distinct identity in the world of volleyball with her hard work and passion, is in the headlines. Today, she is preparing to play internationally as a part of the Indian team. However, his journey was not easy. This journey of zero peak is exciting. Kirti is a resident of Karhia village in Ghazipur. In childhood, she used to play volleyball with other children of her village, but she did not know that volleyball would be their future. His talent was first recognized by village coach Dev Kumar Singh and said that this girl has a wonderful understanding of volleyball, it should be trained. This was the moment when Kirti took this game seriously for the first time.
After this, he took early volleyball training in primary school in Ghazipur. His further journey started in Varanasi’s Talent Academy Volleyball (TAV). Kirti’s career turning point came when he played against Australia at the Under-18 Asian Volleyball Championships. Kirti says that the Australian players were physically stronger, but we played Mind Games and catching their weakness and made a Strategy. This won us.
At present, Kirti is studying from sports quota at Kiit University. He won his university for the first time in the All India Inter University Volleyball Championship. He was highly appreciated by the university’s professor Achyut Samanta on his performance. Now Kirti’s next dream is to make it to the Indian Senior Volleyball team and win gold for the country in big tournaments.
Talent not resource low
Banaras coach Ashwini Yadav’s free volleyball academy and Talent Academy Volleyball also played an important role in advancing Kirti. Kirti says that if you get the right training and facilities, then girls from small towns like us can also illuminate the name of the country in volleyball. He praised the free volleyball academy running in Varanasi where girls are given free training.
