Khelo India Water Sports: In Khelo India Water Sports Games, Madhya Pradesh topped 18 medals including 10 Gold, Odisha and Kerala finished second third.

In these games started in Jammu and Kashmir from August 21, there was not only a battle of medals, but also the Test of India’s future.

Some players who reached here were in school and some college had completed. But everyone’s dream was the same to cross the finish line by moving the chappu fast and finish podium. Madhya Pradesh topped these games with a total of 18 medals including 10 gold.

Odisha and Kerala finished second and third with 10 and seven medals respectively on the basis of their spectacular performance of their players at the Center for Sports Authority of India in Jagatpur, Odisha and the National Excellence Center at Alappuzha. Odisha won four gold, five silver and one bronze medals while Kerala won three gold, one silver and three bronze medals.

The players of Madhya Pradesh won their dominance on the last day by winning six gold medals in Kayaking and Canoeing. The famous trio of Shikha Chauhan, Reena Sen and Pallavi Jagtap won two gold and one silver medals for Madhya Pradesh. Shikha of Indore won the gold medal at the Kayaking Single Slealm, while Pallavi, a 12th grade student of Dewas, made the first position in the C1 Slealm event. The players of Madhya Pradesh also won three silver and five bronze medals.

Odisha’s ritual Sahu won her second gold medal in this competition with the first place in the Women’s C2 500 meter sprint pairing with Achoibam Sanatambi Devi on Saturday. Tokyo Olympian Arjun Lal Jat, who represented Delhi, was beaten by Odisha’s Aviraj in the men’s 1000 meter single skull. Aviraj (3.37.54 seconds) won the gold medal in a tough match while Arjun finished second with 3.28.68 seconds.
