New Delhi. Akshay Kumar’s most awaited courtroom drama ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ has been released worldwide today and is indicating strength at the box office. According to industry tracker Caikanilk, the film has earned Rs 2.06 crore in advance booking. The film, directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, also stars R Madhavan and Ananya Pandey. The initial review is describing it as the best and exciting, which is expected to start a good start of the film.
Based on the true incident, ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ focuses on the courageous life of C. Shankaran Nair, who was a barrister fighting in court against the British Empire after the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh murder case. Akshay is playing the role of Nair, while R Madhavan plays British lawyer Neville McCinley and Ananya Pandey plays Dilrit Gill. The film is based on Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat’s book ‘The Case That Shuk The Empire’.

The film is based on ‘The Case That Shuk The Empire’
‘Kesari 2’ is based on Raghu Palt, C. Shankaran Nair’s Pariyot and Pushpa Palat’s book ‘The Case That Shuk The Empire’. The film follows Nair’s courageous legal battle when he was prosecuted by former Lieutenant Governor of Punjab Michael O’Dwire. Nair had exposed British atrocities in his writing, including the magnitude of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, which led to the historic case.
