It was the AS350 B3 helicopter of Airbus which operates Himalayan Haley Services. This helicopter was returning to Sirsi with devotees from Badrinath. Due to poor visibility, it had to make an emergency landing in a school ground in Ukhimath. All the devotees were safe.

It was the AW119 helicopter of AgustaWestland, which operates Castral Aviation. This helicopter was going from Badasu (Sirsi) helipad towards Kedarnath Dham in Rudraprayag district. Soon after flying, it had to make an emergency landing on the national highway due to technical fault.

Five passengers aboard the helicopter were completely safe and did not get hurt. The pilot complained of back pain, for which he was hospitalized, but his injuries were minor. After the accident, DGCA temporarily suspended Castral Aviation flights.

5. 15 June 2025: 7 killed in helicopter crash near Kedarghati

This bell was a 407 helicopter, which Aryan Aviation operated. The helicopter was going towards Guptkashi with 6 devotees (5 adults and 1 child) from Kedarnath Dham. The primary cause of the accident is said to be bad weather and low visibility.

At around 5:20 am, when the helicopter flew from Kedarnath Helipad, there was dense clouds and fog in the forests of Gaurikund. The Meteorological Department of Uttarakhand warned of rain and fog in the mountainous districts on that day, which was risky for the flight.
