At the same time, the second train will leave from Katra at 2:55 pm and reach Srinagar at 6:00 pm. The same train will return from Srinagar at 8 am the next day and reach Katra at 11:05 am. This train (26403/26404) will not run on Wednesday.

Due to challenges related to construction and safety, 2009 passed in taking approval by reviewing the project and design. Then work on it could start in 2010.

The bridge work was completed in August 2022 and the track laying started in February 2023. On June 20, 2024, the trial run of the train was done for the first time between Sangaldan to Reasi station.

The bridge built on the Anji Khad is India’s first cable-set rail bridge. This bridge is built at an altitude of 331 meters above the river floor. A tower is designed to support it 1086 feet high, which is equal to the 77 -storey building.

This bridge is built on the figs, which connects the Reasi district to Katra. Its distance from Chenab Bridge is just 7 km. The length of this bridge is 725.5 meters. Out of this, 472.25 meters part rests on the cables.
