Two statements of Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah came out
Siddaramaiah earlier said that there is no need for war with Pakistan.
1. We are not in favor of waging war (26 April): Siddaramaiah said that there is no need to wage war against Pakistan. Strict security measures should be initiated. We are not in favor of waging war. There should be peace, people should feel safe and the central government should ensure effective security system.
2. If necessary then we have to fight (April 27): Siddaramaiah later clarified- I never said that we should not fight with Pakistan, I just said that there is no war solution. Tourists should have been given security in Jammu and Kashmir. Whose responsibility is it? I have said that there is failure in it. This is the failure of the intelligence system. The Government of India did not provide enough security. As far as war is concerned, if it is very important, then we have to fight.
