Karan Johar responded to criticism on nepotism, defended Alia Bhatt.

Mumbai. Karan Johar has launched many star kids in his career. He keeps on trolls from time to time. They are said to promote nepotism. Especially with Alia Bhatt. Alia had to face criticism from her debut. However, Alia got her performance ironed with films like Udta Punjab, ‘Highway’ and ‘Gangubai’. In the year 2012, Karan launched two star kids- Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt and an outsider Siddharth Malhotra in ‘Student of the Year’. He launched Ibrahim Ali Khan from ‘Nadaniyan’. Karan reacted to launch StarKids and give them frequent work.

Karan Johar expressed his disappointment on the debate of nepotism in an interview to Galata Plus. He also criticized the trolls that Alia is called Napo Kid. Karan said, “This is not true. Have you seen ‘Highway’, ‘Udta Punjab’, ‘Raazi’ and ‘Gangubai’? Just look at his filmography. If you are still calling him Napo Kid, you are the most foolish person of this planet and no one can help you.”

Kan Johar will continue to launch StarKids

When Karan Johar was asked if he would continue to launch new star kids, he shook his head and replied in ‘yes’ and said that he would continue to do this till he trusts his talent. He further said, “Am I the face of Bollywood hate, and if I am, ‘Thank you for giving me this height. But do I deserve it? I don’t think.”
