New Delhi: Actor, producer and politician Kamal Haasan has taken a big decision about his upcoming film ‘Thug Life’. He has told that he is selling the OTT and satellite rights of the film and he will distribute the film himself. This film is directed by Mani Ratnam. Kamal Haasan is confident that the audience will support him.

Recently, at the audio launch event of ‘Thug Life’, Kamal Haasan said, “I have come here not to sell ‘thug life’ but to sell good cinema. I am confident that you will definitely accept it.” He expressed confidence in the audience and said that he will definitely support him.

Kamal Haasan said, “Let me tell you how much I trust my film. The rest of the producers should not understand that I am challenging them, it is not so. Only satellite and OTT rights of this film have been sold. We are all handling ourselves. And we are doing all this so that Mani Ratnam ji is not harmed.”

Decision taken due to business

He further said, “Think, how much we are confident in our film that we are taking responsibility for this ourselves. We have a little understanding of business. We have made a good film by trusting you and have made money in it. Just as the farmer plows the field, manure, we have worked hard. We have worked hard. The farmer does not know anything other than this, we know how to make cinema. Our farming is the farming of cinema.”

In the film ‘Thug Life’, Kamal ‘Rangaraya Rangaraya will be seen playing a character called Shaktivale Nayakar. In the film, actors like Trisha Krishnan, Silambasana TR, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Ashok Selvan, Abhirami and Jujo George are also playing important roles. ‘Thug Life’ will be released in theaters on 5 June.
