KKR was bought in difficult times
Jai said that his business was going through a difficult period when he got a chance to invest in cricket and hence he along with his other partners invested $ 75 million to buy KKR. He said, ‘Amidst all this, when we were going through difficult times, I got a chance to invest in cricket. Everyone used to say that you are crazy, absolutely crazy. I said, ‘Look, I really believe it. I want to do this. When the auction took place, it was like an acquisition of $ 75 million and I shared with a friend to do it, but other people really took documents and did not understand the business model and when you saw the business model, it was a cash flow model. ‘
Big business made with small investment
Jai further told that the investment was very small, but he believed that this format of fame is going to become big. He said, ‘So the investment was very young and I really believed that it is really going to change and cricket is going to be bigger, such as American football in America or football in Europe. So I invested in it and this is undoubtedly my best investment. Now Jay Mehta owns a net worth of 1000 to 2000 crores.
