Airtel said that this temporary measures have been implemented in many states and union territories due to heavy rains and severe weather conditions.

For live users:
This week, prepaid mobiles and geohom subscribers plans are ending, will be automatically given a validity expansion of 3-day. Mobile users will get 2GB of high-speed data and unlimited voice calling per day without any additional cost or recharge requirement. Jiohom users will get the benefit of 3 additional days of their final valid plan without any additional cost.
The company said in a statement that Jio’s engineering teams are working hard to increase the strength of the network and strengthen the infrastructure to face the current challenges.
For all Airtel prepaid customers whose packs are ending this week, the validity of three days will be extended automatically. During this period, they will get unlimited calling and 1GB of data daily, whether they recharge their account or not. These benefits will still be active if they recharge during the grace period.
At the same time, Airtel’s postpaid and broadband subscribers are also being given additional time of three days to pay the bill in the same areas. This step has been taken to ensure uninterrupted connectivity for users who are affected by severe weather events such as floods and landslides. The Indian government has directed all the telecom operators of the country to keep ICR facility active in Jammu and Kashmir till 2 September.
